Preaching Christ in an era of technological revolution, demographic decline and (geo)political friction
Guests: Zac Crippen, Fabrice Hadjadj, Juraj Šúst
Moderator: Samuel Trizuljak
• What will the ongoing technological revolution, especially in the field of artificial intelligence, mean for the Church and its mission in the contemporary world?
• How should Catholicism position itself towards the end of the liberal era defined by a unipolar global order?
• How can the Church today awaken the dying West? (demographic crisis, identity crisis, crisis of faith...)
Catholicism is ancient – and yet ever new. How can our faith help us and nations navigate in a world that is changing politically, technologically and socially? We live in times of geopolitical tension not seen in decades. Artificial intelligence promises to boost productivity, but it remains to be seen whether this will come at the expense of human flourishing – and our jobs. Nothing is more certain – even the Pope is now American, and we were told it would never happen. Join us for a discussion about what future awaits Catholicism in the West – or rather, we seek to xplore – how Catholicism can shape that future.
